About Autism Little Stars

Hello there! I'm Racheal. I'm an early intervention specialist working with autistic children and their families for over 7 years now. I was born in Dublin, Ireland. I'm currently on a journey to share resources, knowledge, and information with as many parents/caregivers as I can!  

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Education and Training from Dublin City University (DCU as we all call it LOL).  After working primarily with autistic children at preschool age (ages 3-6) for several years, I went on to further study and receive a Master's Degree in Early Intervention from Trinity College Dublin.

 Although formal learning is incredible, I am a hands-on type of learner. I learn through doing and experiencing. 

 I have worked in different ASD preschools over the last 6 years. I worked as a tutor, then promoted to teacher. I adore teaching. It is 100% my calling in life. I have worked as a home tutor for 5 years. I spend each Saturday dividing my time between 3 children in my local area. I work closely with the families also.

 My opening statement to the families, before we started working together, is that We are a team. Always. It's a team approach. We are almost like family now as I have been working with one particular little girl for 5 years now.

 I have made so many resources over the years for these children and they have been left sitting on my computer, never to be used again. I just saw this as an awful shame. I needed to find a way to share these resources with a wider audience. Therefore... Autism Little Stars was born
